What's new in Ensobre

Ensobre checks for a new version every time you open the app (turn it off in Settings if you'd rather check by hand) and shows a one-click button to install it. Updates are signed: the app rejects any package we didn't sign ourselves.

Automatic backups, easier imports and a lot faster.

  • Automatic backups: Ensobre keeps a daily copy of your budget (the last 7) next to your file, and reminds you to export a copy if it's been a while.
  • Import without leaving: create a new envelope in the middle of an import, or drop your bank file on any screen.
  • More banks and services recognized instantly: PayPal, Wise, Payoneer, Davivienda, BCI and Wells Fargo, plus electronic invoices in XML (CFDI).
  • Recurring payments: when Ensobre spots a monthly charge, it suggests scheduling it. You decide.
  • Next 30 days, grouped by week, and you can send them to your calendar.
  • Faster with years of history: reports and exports that took seconds are now instant.
  • New shortcuts (Ctrl+F to search, ? to see them all), duplicate transactions and reorder envelopes faster.
  • A heads-up before changing a reconciled transaction, and the window fits small screens.
  • Safer: it only opens files you pick and exports CSV without formulas that are risky in Excel.

A new logo, a bit of life and a license for your whole household.

  • New logo.
  • Small animations: a coin drops when you fill an envelope and "Ready to assign" counts as it changes. They turn off if your system asks for reduced motion.
  • Your license works on up to 5 computers in your household. It activates with a single connection and then works offline. You can move it to another computer from Settings.
  • The update banner shows you what's new.
  • Quick add: a double click no longer saves the expense twice.
